Florida enters this contest struggling with inconsistency, which is rare for them after two straight championship seasons. Los Angeles appears to be steadily improving at home. Florida has struggled to this point in the 2025‑26 season. They are 6‑6‑1 and are averaging only 2.54 goals per game, ranking near the bottom of the league offensively. They most recently suffered a 7‑3 loss on the road to the Anaheim Ducks, giving up five unanswered goals after leading 3‑2 late in the second period. Their road record is just 1-5 and their title defense is not off to a great start thus far.
The Kings are 6‑4‑4 and trying to get themselves on track as well. They blanked the Winnipeg Jets 3‑0 in their latest outing and have won three of their last five games. There is a ton of room for improvement for the Kings as well and they will look for a win over the defending champs tonight.

I'm going to go with the Kings to get the win at home in this matchup. Los Angeles should take advantage of just how bad the Panthers have been on the road throughout this season. I'll take the Kings on the moneyline and they could cover the puckline as well, given how bad Florida has been in that market this season.
