Los Angeles Kings vs Winnipeg Jets Prediction - 10/11/2025

The Los Angeles Kings will face the Winnipeg Jets in a Saturday afternoon matchup in the NHL. Both of these teams made the Stanley Cup Playoffs a season ago and will try to make a statement in this Western Conference matchup. Before the puck drops in Winnipeg on Saturday afternoon, continue reading to get my Kings vs Jets prediction.
Moneyline | Puckline | Total |
|---|---|---|
Jets –130 / Kings +110 | Jets –1.5 (+185) / Kings +1.5 (–250) | Over/Under 5.5 |
The Kings are 1–1 to start the season. They dropped their opener against Colorado 4–1, then responded with a wild 6–5 shootout win over Vegas. Their defense has struggled from a consistency standpoint, though they have done a great job of generating scoring chances. Winnipeg lost their opener 5–4 to Dallas despite a three-goal game from Kyle Connor. The Jets will look to even their record with a win at home here.
Los Angeles is expected to deploy Darcy Kuemper in goal. He struggled in Los Angeles' opener, posting a .826 save percentage in that contest. Connor Hellebuyck allowed five goals on 37 shots in the opener for Winnipeg. The Jets’ goaltender will need some more help from his defenders, but will also need to be more effective stopping shots on his own.
In Winnipeg, all eyes will be on Kyle Connor, fresh off a hat trick in the opener. He recently signed an eight-year, $96 million extension, raising expectations for his performance this season. Anze Kopitar has two assists through two games for the Kings. No player has more than one goal this season for Los Angeles, as they have enjoyed balanced scoring through two games.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Kyle Connor (Jets) | Over 1.5 Points |
Kevin Fiala (Kings) | Over 0.5 Points |
Mark Scheifele (Jets) | Over 0.5 Assists |
Score Projection: Jets 4 – Kings 3
Win Probability: Jets 56%, Kings 44%
This is the first game of a loaded Saturday schedule in the NHL and it could end up being the best game of the day on the ice. Both of these teams are legitimate Western Conference title contenders, but I think that the Jets have the inside track to win this game on home ice. Hellebuyck should outperform Kuemper in net in this contest and I will take the Jets to win this game at home to even their record with one win and one loss in the first week of the campaign.
