New Jersey Devils vs Chicago Blackhawks Prediction - 11/12/2025

The New Jersey Devils will travel to face the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night. The Devils are off to a great start this season and are favorites on the road. But the Blackhawks come into this game on a winning streak of their own and they will try to extend that streak in this contest. Before the puck drops in Chicago, you can find my Devils vs Blackhawks prediction below.
Pick: Blackhawks +1.5
Confidence: ★★★☆☆
The Devils are off to an 11‑4‑1 start to the season and look sharp overall. They dropped their last game in overtime to the Islanders, but that marked their first home defeat after an eight‑game home winning streak. The Devils have gone to overtime or a shootout in each of their last three games and it will be interesting to see if fatigue is a factor for them at all.
The Blackhawks own an 8‑5‑3 record and they have won three straight games coming into this matchup with New Jersey. The Blackhawks have stepped up in a big way defensively of late. They have given up a total of three goals over the course of their three-game winning streak and they will need another great defensive effort to extend their winning streak to four games.
The Devils will likely go with Jake Allen in net tonight. Allen is 6‑2‑0 with a GAA of 2.29 and a .914 save percentage. The Blackhawks’ primary netminder is Spencer Knight. He boasts a strong .926 save percentage and a 2.33 goals‑against average this season. That slight edge in the crease gives Chicago a legitimate chance to win this game.
Devils center Jack Hughes leads the team with 10 goals and 8 assists in the first 16 games. Winger Jesper Bratt has a team-high 11 assists, making their top line dangerous at even strength and on the power play. Chicago’s Connor Bedard has already posted 9 goals and 16 assists for a total of 25 points. He leads the Blackhawks in offensive production and is expected to for years to come.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Jack Hughes (New Jersey) | Over 1.5 Points |
Jesper Bratt (New Jersey) | Over 0.5 Assists |
Connor Bedard (Chicago) | Over 1.5 Points |
Score Projection: New Jersey Devils 3 – Chicago Blackhawks 2
Win Probability: New Jersey 54%, Chicago 46%
I think that this is going to be a very close game between two teams that are trending in the right direction. Chicago could very well win outright here, but I will take the Blackhawks as a puckline underdog instead. This game should be decided by a goal in either direction. As long as the Blackhawks avoid an empty netter at the end, they should be fine to cover while they attempt to get a fourth win in a row.
