The Islanders have strung together four straight victories, including three consecutive overtime wins. Their ability to stay composed late in games has stood out. Jonathan Drouin enters with a three-game point streak and the team continues to get timely scoring from multiple lines.
Colorado brings a nine-game point streak into this contest, winning seven of those games. They have earned points in every game at Ball Arena with a 6–0–2 record on home ice and they have won five games in a row overall. Few teams have been able to match their pace and sustained pressure.
Ilya Sorokin is expected back in goal for the Islanders tonight. He is 6-4-2 on the season and has a 2.90 GAA. He has helped the Isles hold their nerve in some tight games recently.
