The Canucks have responded well of late, winning four straight games on the road. They most recently earned a high-scoring shootout win against the Bruins and a convincing 4-1 victory over the Islanders led by Kiefer Sherwood’s hat trick. That recent surge has given Vancouver life, though they still have plenty of work left to do if they want to catch up to the teams ahead of them in the Pacific Division.
The Flyers have lost two straight games and four of their last five outings going into Monday night. Philly has allowed five goals in back-to-back games and their defensive issues have played a huge role in their recent struggles.
Vancouver’s net will likely see Thatcher Demko or Kevin Lankinen occupy it, with Lankinen recently posting a strong shootout performance and Demko having played well during Vancouver's recent hot streak. For Philadelphia, the goaltending picture is slightly clouded with Dan Vladar listed day-to-day and Samuel Ersson available as an alternative. Vladar’s quality this season (.910 save percentage) suggests the Flyers can lean on their goalie to keep them competitive if Vladar can suit up.

I'm going to take the Canucks to win on the road as a slight underdog on Monday night. Vancouver has been playing at a high level lately, giving up just 1.5 goals per game during their four-game winning streak. I expect them to continue to find success defensively and for Vancouver to win its fifth straight outing.
