Vegas enters with an 8-4-5 record and coming off a win over the St. Louis Blues on the road on Saturday. Minnesota sits at 8–7–4 and off a home win over the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday. Both of these teams are on the second games of back-to-backs here and the team that can do the best job of overcoming fatigue could take this matchup from Minnesota.
We could see backup goalies in this game on both sides with them playing for the second day in a row. Goaltending will be a huge concern for both teams here, just because the continuity isn't necessarily going to be there if they rotate netminders. That will be something to keep an eye on as this game goes on.
Vegas relies on Jack Eichel as the primary engine for generating scoring chances. His creativity and transition play often dictate the offensive rhythm for Vegas. Eichel leads the Knights with 24 points, accumulating 6 goals and 18 assists so far this year. The supporting cast around him remains deep and balanced, giving Vegas multiple threats on each line.
The Wild are powered by Kirill Kaprizov, who has produced 10 goals and 12 assists to this point in the season. Matt Boldy adds another steady presence with 9 goals and 9 assists. Minnesota brought in Vladimir Tarasenko in the offseason to help bolster their attack, and his experience has added stability to their top six.
