But they are underdogs on the road against Bowling Green going into this contest. Bowling Green will be looking to rebound from a shaky start in conference play (1‑3) with their home crowd behind them. They are coming off a loss to Kent State, which is just the second FBS win for Kent State in about three years. It will be interesting to see how Bowling Green responds to that kind of a disappointing loss.
Buffalo is 3-1 in conference games so far after they lost to Akron at home last week. Their ground game has averaged 151.9 yards per game, with running back Al‑Jay Henderson accounting for 544 yards and four touchdowns. But the Bulls were held to just 16 points by Akron in their last game and they will try to rebound offensively here.
This game is important for both teams looking ahead to the rest of the season. Buffalo needs two more wins to become bowl eligible and a win here would really help their chances. Bowling Green would need to win its final three games to become bowl eligible if they were to lose this week. That means high stakes for both programs entering Saturday.
Buffalo features senior Ta’Quan Roberson at quarterback. He has thrown for 1,603 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions so far this season. He is capable of moving the Buffalo offense, but his turnover rate remains a concern for the Bulls at times.
Bowling Green's signal‑caller was Baron May last week. He had 142 passing yards on 22 attempts with one touchdown and no interceptions against Kent State. He is facing a slightly better defense in this game and will need to step up to meet that challenge.

I am going to take Bowling Green to get a win at home to end their current two-game losing streak. The Falcons have lost just once at home this season and are better than their overall record would lead you to believe. Turnovers could be a problem for Buffalo again in this game and I'll go with the Falcons to make Buffalo pay for their mistakes.
