Central Michigan vs Bowling Green Pick & Prediction - 10/18/2025

The Central Michigan Chippewas and Bowling Green Falcons will face off in MAC play on Saturday afternoon. Both of these teams are 3-3 on the season and both teams will do everything they can to be above the .500 mark for the season. Here, I break down this weekend's MACtion and make my Central Michigan vs Bowling Green prediction.
Betting Market | Odds |
|---|---|
Spread | BGSU -3.5 |
Moneyline | BGSU -170, CMU +145 |
Total | Over/Under 44.5 |
Bowling Green's offense is led by quarterback Drew Pyne. He has thrown for 830 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions this season. Pyne is by no means a bad quarterback but he does need to do a better job of taking care of the football if his team is going to get back above .500 with a win here.
Central Michigan's quarterback is Joe Labas. He is coming off a dreadful performance in his team's loss to Akron on the road. In that game, Labas completed 12 of his 21 pass attempts for 134 yards and no touchdowns. He has to be more efficient through the air for the Chippeawas to avoid another loss on the road.
Bowling Green's defense has been solid. They are allowing 25.3 points per game and forcing 11 turnovers. Linebacker Gideon Lampron leads the defense with 57 tackles and the Falcons' front seven has held opponents to under 140 rushing yards per game.
Central Michigan's defense has shown improvement for the most part in recent weeks. They have a strong pass rush led by Michael Heldman and an ability to force turnovers. But they did allow 28 points to Akron last week and will try to get back on track defensively in this contest.
Score Projection: Bowling Green 32 – Central Michigan 18
Win Probability: Bowling Green 64%, Central Michigan 36%
Bowling Green is 3-0 at home this season and 0-3 on the road. Some of that has had to do with the quality of opponents that the Falcons have faced at home compared to their road games. But their win at home over Toledo last week was an impressive one and I think that we will see Bowling Green get another win on their home turf here. I will lay the points with Bowling Green in this MAC matchup.
