The big question going into this game is whether Georgia Tech can maintain its unbeaten run when traveling into a hostile environment and facing a Duke squad that has been improving in ACC play. The Yellow Jackets have leaned on one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in college football, while Duke appears determined to move the ball primarily through the air.
Turnovers and situational awareness will be huge factors in this game. Duke enters with a favorable turnover margin and any Georgia Tech mistakes could be huge in a close contest. Duke also has the benefit of utilizing an idle week to get ready for this important game for both sides.
Georgia Tech’s Haynes King has been effective this season, with 971 passing yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. In their most recent game, he went 20-of-24 for 213 yards and a touchdown while rushing 14 times for 60 yards and two rushing touchdowns. King has been one of the most valuable players in the country to his team's success.
Duke will rely on quarterback Darian Mensah, who leads the ACC in passing yards with 1,838. He has 15 touchdown passes and just two interceptions on the year. Mensah’s ability to attack Georgia Tech’s defense and connect downfield will be a key to the Blue Devils' success.
