Kansas enters at 4‑4 overall and 2‑3 in conference play, and Oklahoma State is languishing at 1‑7 and 0‑5 in league play. The Jayhawks have a golden opportunity to bounce back after a two-game losing streak by beating one of the worst power conference teams in the country this season. Here, I break down this contest and bring you my Kansas vs Oklahoma State prediction for Saturday.
The Jayhawks are coming off consecutive blowout losses. They suffered a 42‑17 defeat to the Kansas State Wildcats and another loss by the same score to the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Their offense has the capability to score at a solid clip, averaging about 30.5 points per game this season. But they need to use this game against Oklahoma State to get back on track defensively.
Oklahoma State is in full collapse. They’ve allowed nearly 39 points per game, rank near the bottom of FBS football in several defensive categories, and were shut out 42‑0 in their most recent loss to the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The fact that their longtime head coach Mike Gundy was relieved of duties this season speaks to how poorly things have gone for them.
Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels has delivered 1,881 passing yards with 18 touchdowns and three interceptions so far. He also had 235 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns this year. His dual‑threat ability gives Kansas a clear edge.
Oklahoma State’s signal‑callers have underperformed badly. Zane Flores leads the team with just 696 passing yards, zero passing touchdowns, and three interceptions. The options they've used in his place haven't been any better.

Kansas is miles better than Oklahoma State, but that isn't saying much. Any power conference team would be rated higher than the Cowboys at this point in time. I'm going to lay the points with Oklahoma State, as they should roll from start to finish against arguably the worst team in major college football right now.
