The Rebels are in the thick of College Football Playoff race and they passed a huge road test last week. Ole Miss is making a sustained push toward the College Football Playoff. They are 7-1 and got a signature win over a ranked Oklahoma team on the road this past week. As long as they keep winning, they will end up in the playoff after the regular season concludes. Transfer quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and running back Kewan Lacy have been performing at a high level. Chambliss proved himself against a very good Oklahoma defense last week and will try to build on that performance in this game.
South Carolina enters this contest at 3-5 overall and 1-5 in the SEC. They average just 20.4 points per game (127th nationally) and they need to score more if they want to keep up with the Rebels in this contest. Their offense averages 309 yards per game (120th nationally). This is going to be a very difficult test for them on the road against one of college football's best teams.
