Indiana comes in as one of the nation’s hottest teams. They are undefeated at 7-0 overall and 4-0 in Big Ten play. UCLA is 3-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The Bruins have won their last three games and they have been improving rapidly since removing head coach Deshaun Foster from that position.
Indiana’s offense is led by junior QB Fernando Mendoza. He is completing 73.5% of his passes this season with 1,755 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and only two interceptions. He has also added 151 rushing yards and two scores on the ground. His efficiency and low turnover rate is rare in college football and has allowed Indiana to dominate for the majority of the season.
UCLA has found itself under interim head coach Tim Skipper, who has the Bruins running for about 233 yards per game over their last three games. They enter this game as a more confident team, but still way behind Indiana in overall roster talent and consistency.
Nico Iamaleava has thrown for 1,355 yards with 10 touchdowns and five interceptions. He also leads the Bruins in rushing with 360 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. If UCLA is going to have any chance of pulling off an upset here, Iamaleava is going to have to be great.
Defensively, Indiana suffered the loss of standout back Kellan Wyatt to what is likely a season-ending injury. That could give UCLA a lifeline in this contest. But the overall depth of the Hoosiers should help them to get through any injury concerns they have.

Indiana should be able to win this game convincingly on their home turf. UCLA is playing better on both sides of the ball than they were at the start of the season. But Indiana might be the best team in the country other than Ohio State. I'll lay the points with the Hoosiers in this contest, as they should improve to 8-0 and stay in the top two in the country for another week.
