Syracuse vs Georgia Tech Pick & Prediction - 10/25/2025

The Syracuse Orange and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will meet on Saturday afternoon in college football. The Yellow Jackets are undefeated on the season and will try to stay that way against a Syracuse team that has struggled mightily of late. Before kickoff from Atlanta, continue reading to get my Syracuse vs Georgia Tech prediction for this ACC matchup.
Georgia Tech enters this game with a record of 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the ACC. They are ranked seventh in the country and look like a team that could end up in this year's College Football Playoff. But they have to avoid slip-ups in games like this one in order to get to that point and the Yellow Jackets are a heavy favorite to avoid that slip-up this week.
Syracuse comes into this game on a three-game losing streak. They lost their starting quarterback to a season-ending injury and have not won a game since then. The Orange will try to figure things out offensively in this game, but they are not expected to be able to keep up with the Yellow Jackets while using their backup quarterback.
Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King has provided dual-threat production this season. He has thrown for 1,176 yards and has rushed for 560 yards with 10 rushing touchdowns. He has been one of the best quarterbacks in the country this year and will try to get his team an eighth straight win here.
The Orange lost starter Steve Angeli to a torn Achilles earlier in the season. His replacement, Rickie Collins, has struggled to maintain the offensive efficiency the team had with Angeli on the field. Syracuse’s offense has averaged 11.3 points per game in the three games since Angeli’s injury, a dramatic drop from the 38.3 points per game they averaged when he was starting.
Georgia Tech’s defense allows just 6.9 yards per pass attempt and is strong against the run The Orange’s run defense has ranked poorly at 104th in yards per play allowed. All of that suggests the Yellow Jackets should be able to keep control of the line of scrimmage and impose their will on this game.
Score Projection: Georgia Tech 38 – Syracuse 14
Win Probability: Georgia Tech 88%, Syracuse 12%
This game should be a huge mismatch in Georgia Tech's favor. The Yellow Jackets have a much more consistent offense and they should be able to keep rolling against a Syracuse team whose offense has fallen apart since Angeli's injury. I'll lay the points with Georgia Tech with the expectation that they will improve to 8-0 in style.
