UConn vs Buffalo Pick & Prediction - 9/27/2025

The UConn Huskies and Buffalo Bulls will do battle in New York State on Saturday afternoon. Both of these teams are 2-2 so far this season and a win in this game would be huge for the hopes of these teams reaching six wins and a bowl bid later in the year. Here, I break down this college football contest and give you my UConn vs Buffalo prediction from Western New York.
Betting Line | Moneyline | Total Points |
|---|---|---|
UConn -3.5 | UConn -175, Buffalo +150 | 47.5 |
Joe Fagnano has completed 62.1% of his passes with six touchdowns so far this year. He has moved the ball effectively, with just over 1,000 passing yards. But this game will come down to the defense of the Huskies and not the play of their quarterback.
Ta'Quan Roberson normally leads Buffalo's offense. But he is doubtful to play in this game after leaving early against Troy last week. We could see Gunnar Gray under center for the Bulls in this contest and that could mean more ugly offensive play from this group.
Under normal circumstances, a quarterback injury makes it very hard to justify backing a team like Buffalo. But I think that the Bulls still have a perfectly good chance to win this week at home against a UConn team that has been dreadful on defense in their road games. I'll take Buffalo to steal this one on the moneyline.
