Wyoming and Air Force will meet in Mountain West Conference play on Saturday. Air Force comes into this game at 1-5 on the year, but their offensive outburst against UNLV last week showed that they are capable of competing with competition in their conference. Here, I break down this matchup in the Mountain West and make my Wyoming vs Air Force prediction.

One of the most intriguing storylines of this game is the battle between Air Force’s offensive firepower and defensive vulnerability. The Falcons average well over 35 points per game and they move the ball aggressively on the ground. But their defense has been leaky, as we saw in their 51-48 loss to UNLV in their last game.
Wyoming showed resilience in their comeback win over San Jose State last week. But their offense is not built for trailing. Quarterback Kaden Anderson has a relatively low completion rate and the Cowboys can't rely on moving the ball through the air. Wyoming may struggle to catch up if Air Force jumps ahead early.
Liam Szarka is the engine of the Air Force offense. He’s thrown for over 1,000 yards and has rushed for over 500 yards. His ability to both run and throw makes the Falcons’ offense difficult to scheme against. If Wyoming overcommits to stopping Szarka on the ground, he can beat them through the air. If they play the pass, he can pick up chunks on the ground.
Anderson’s limitations in accuracy and consistency make Wyoming's quarterback situation less desirable than that of Air Force. He may struggle to sustain long drives, even against a struggling Air Force defense. The Cowboys need clean execution and efficiency through the air to stay within reach.
Score Projection: Wyoming 27 – Air Force 33
Win Probability: Wyoming 35%, Air Force 65%
We are likely to see another high-scoring game involving the Air Force Falcons this week. The question will be which team can get enough stops to secure the win. I think that team will be Air Force, as they should be able to slow down Anderson and the Wyoming passing game just enough to snap their five-game losing streak.
