Wyoming vs San Diego State Pick & Prediction - 11/1/2025

The Wyoming Cowboys (4‑4, 2‑2 Mountain West) will head west to face the San Diego State Aztecs (6‑1, 3‑0 MW) at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego. The Aztecs are firmly in control of their destiny in the Mountain West Conference and they will try to avoid their first conference loss of the season against a struggling Cowboys team. Here, I break down this MWC matchup and you can find my Wyoming vs San Diego State prediction below.
Aztecs Jayden Denegal has managed games well. He has thrown just three interceptions this season and avoiding turnovers is all a quarterback needs to do in this system given how much SDSU relies on running the ball and playing defense. Wyoming's Kaden Anderson has shown promise, thanks in part to improved play‑calling under a new offensive coordinator. But his consistency is still lacking and he will face a much stiffer test against the Aztecs secondary.
The Aztecs should win tonight and keep their unbeaten conference record alive. But I think that San Diego State will fail to cover the spread in this contest. Wyoming just needs to score around 20 points to be in great shape to cover here against a San Diego State team that is always content to bleed clock and play the field position game.
