The Arizona Wildcats will travel to Boulder to take on the Colorado Buffaloes in Big 12 competition on Saturday. Arizona comes in at 4–3 after a bye week and looking to correct course following back‑to‑back one‑possession losses. Colorado is 3–5 and reeling from a 53‑7 blowout loss to the Utah Utes. Arizona arrives off a bye week with some unresolved issues. In their last outing they lost 31–28 against the Houston Cougars after quarterback Noah Fifita completed 24 of 26 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns. That loss came on the heels of Arizona losing an overtime game to BYU and the Wildcats are going to try to turn things around in what could be another tight game against a conference opponent.
Colorado is coming off a brutal 53–7 defeat at the hands of Utah Utes. They were outgained 587 to 140, went 3‑16 on third downs, and were never competitive in that game. Their offense is led by quarterback Kaidon Salter, who has struggled after making the leap up to power conference football after playing at Liberty. The Buffaloes are averaging 22.6 points per game and have allowed 27.4 points per game. They will try to turn things around at home against the Wildcats.
Noah Fifita is the engine for Arizona’s offense. His near‑perfect showing in the Houston game shows that his ceiling is high even if there are question marks about the roster around him. The challenge is sustaining that level of play and getting the run game more consistently involved.
Colorado's Kaidon Salter has thrown for 1,193 yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions. He has dealt with some injuries and was benched at one point in the season. But he has not produced at the same level as Fifita this season.
Score Projection: Arizona 28 – Colorado 21

I'm going to take Arizona to win and cover the spread on Saturday night in Boulder. The Wildcats are far more consistent on offense going into this contest and they should continue to function at a higher level on that side of the ball here. Look for Fifita to outclass Salter and for the Wildcats to cover the number as a favorite on the road.
