The Milwaukee Bucks will take on the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night at Spectrum Center in Charlotte. Milwaukee enters this game carrying a 7‑4 record and the Hornets are floundering at 3‑7. Milwaukee enters this game with some momentum after a road win over the Dallas Mavericks. But the injury cloud looms large for them going into this one. Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable with left‑knee patellar tendinopathy. Taurean Prince (neck strain) and Kevin Porter Jr. (ankle) remain out for this contest.
Charlotte is dealing with major absences as well. LaMelo Ball (right ankle impingement) and Brandon Miller (left shoulder soreness) are out. The Hornets lack depth with their two stars on the floor. Things haven't gone well without them, as the Hornets have dropped three straight games and four of their last five.
This game could come down to which team can get stops more consistently. Both of these teams are in the bottom half of the league in defensive rating. If either team can step things up on that end of the floor, it could clear a path to them getting a win in this spot.

As long as Giannis plays in this game for the Bucks, they should be able to get the win on the road and cover the spread against the Hornets. Charlotte is just outside of the bottom five in the NBA in defensive rating this year and I don't see them figuring out a way to keep Antetokounmpo out of the paint in this matchup. I'll lay the points with the Bucks, who should get their second win in a row here.
