The Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers both got wins last week and are in contention in their respective divisions. They will look for another win this week against each other as they play on Sunday Night Football in Week 10 of the NFL season. Justin Herbert is having a strong campaign for the Chargers. He has thrown for 2,390 passing yards and 18 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Rodgers has 1,692 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He is clearly past his physical peak but he has done a fine job of moving the ball for Pittsburgh this year.
The big questions for the quarterbacks in this game are whether Herbert can avoid being pressured constantly and whether Rodgers can generate enough offense down the field to trouble the Chargers' defense.
Score Projection: Chargers 21 – Steelers 20
Win Probability: Chargers 54%, Steelers 46 %
The winner of this game will be ahead of the loser in the AFC standings by the end of Week 10. I think that the Chargers will be that team. But I also think that the margin in this game will be just a point or two. I'm going to take the points with Pittsburgh and expect that their pass rush will make things difficult enough on Herbert to prevent the Bolts from pulling away.
