Tennessee Titans vs Jacksonville Jaguars Preview & Prediction - 1/4/2026

The AFC South will have some of the most important football games in Week 18 of the NFL season. That includes the game between the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars, which could decide the AFC South title. Jacksonville needs a win over the Titans to secure the division and a home game in the opening round of the playoffs, while the Titans are playing with playoff positioning in mind. The formula is pretty simple for the Jaguars, as a win will secure them the top spot in the AFC South. Jacksonville has won seven games in a row going into the final week of the regular season and they are 4-1 against division opponents this year. A win over the last-place team in their division would secure them at least one home playoff game, while a loss and a Texans win over the Colts would send the AFC South title to Houston.
As for the Titans, they are fourth in the latest NFL Draft order going into Week 18 with a record of 3-13. A loss here and some wins by the teams ahead of them in the draft order could help the Titans move up in their quest to improve their roster. Tennessee is coming off a loss to the New Orleans Saints, though the offense of the Titans looked a little better this past week as Cam Ward continues to get his feet wet near the end of his rookie season in the NFL.
Trevor Lawrence has made a difference both with his arm and his legs for the Jaguars this season. The Jags' quarterback didn't have a passing touchdown in Week 17, but he did have two rushing touchdowns to help his team defeat the Indianapolis Colts. Lawrence threw an interception for the first time since November 30 by throwing a pick against the Colts and he will need to avoid more turnovers to help his team here.
Cam Ward is coming off one of his best games as a pro in last week's loss to the Saints. Ward threw for 251 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions in that game. And while the Titans came up short, it's clear that Ward is starting to get a little more comfortable with the speed of the pro game, which is good for the Titans looking ahead to next year.
Score Projection: Jaguars 31, Titans 17
Win Probability: Jaguars 88%, Titans 12%
I recommend laying the points with the Jaguars in Week 18 against the Titans. Jacksonville is playing at an elite level and should secure a home game in the Wild Card round here, at the expense of a Titans team that is just 2-5 on the road going into their final game of the season.
