Carolina Hurricanes vs New York Rangers Prediction - 11/4/2025

The Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers will meet in NHL action from Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night. The Rangers enter the night on a three-game winning streak, but they will try to end a bizarre streak of games on their home ice here. Before this contest begins from New York, continue reading to get my thoughts on the game, including my Hurricanes vs Rangers prediction.
The Hurricanes come in at 7‑4 this season. But they have lost three of their last four games coming into this contest. They’ve shown they can score, averaging 3.64 goals per game this season. But they were held to three or fewer goals in each of their recent losses and will try to get back on track offensively here.
The Rangers have won three games in a row going into this matchup. But all of those wins came on the road. The Rangers are 0-4-1 on home ice so far this season and they will try to get their first home win of the season here.
The projected starter for Carolina is Frederik Andersen. He is 4-3 on the season with a 2.96 GAA. His numbers are actually worse than his backup Brandon Bussi early in the year. The Rangers are expected to go with Igor Shesterkin. Shesterkin is 4-4-2 on the year and has a 2.28 GAA.
Carolina: Seth Jarvis leads the Hurricanes with 7 goals and 4 assists so far. Sebastian Aho has 4 goals and 7 assists. Carolina's offensive balance is impressive and both Jarvis and Aho will try to contribute to that further.
Rangers: Adam Fox is leading the team with 3 goals and 8 assists for a total of 11 points. J.T. Miller has been working his way in with 2 goals and 3 assists in recent games as well. But the Rangers need help from other players, as they are only averaging 2.38 goals per game.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Seth Jarvis (CAR) | Over 1.5 Points |
Sebastian Aho (CAR) | Over 1.5 Points |
Adam Fox (NYR) | Over 0.5 Assists |
Score Projection: Carolina 4 – New York 2
Win Probability: Carolina 60%, New York 40%
My best bet for this Eastern Conference matchup is for the Carolina Hurricanes to win on the road over the New York Rangers. The Rangers are playing well of late, but their lack of consistent goal scoring should hurt them at home once again here. I'll take the visitors to come out on top and to drop the Rangers further into despair at the world's most famous arena.
