Delaware vs Jacksonville State Pick & Prediction - 10/15/2025

Delaware and Jacksonville State will square off on Wednesday night in a Conference USA matchup in college football. The Blue Hens (3-2, 1-1 CUSA) are seeking to rebound after a heartbreaking loss at home, while the Gamecocks (3-3, 2-0 CUSA) aim to stay unbeaten in conference play. Before kickoff, you can find my Delaware vs Jacksonville State prediction below.
Odds | Line |
|---|---|
Spread | Delaware –2.5 |
Moneyline | Delaware –135 | Jacksonville State +115 |
Total | 57.5 |
Delaware is off to a very respectable start to their first season in FBS football. The Blue Hens are 3-2 and nearly defeated Western Kentucky last week. They have exceeded all expectations so far this season and will try to get back over the .500 mark in Conference USA play with a win here.
Jacksonville State is returning home for the first time in nearly a month this week. The Gamecocks have had two straight road games and an idle week before this matchup. The Gamecocks are 2-0 at home so far this year and will try to get a third conference win in as many tries with a victory in this contest.
Delaware signal-caller Nick Minicucci has completed 120 of 186 attempts so far with eight touchdowns and three interceptions. He’s been the engine of the Delaware offense and he will try to stretch the field to make it easier for Jo Silver and the rest of Delaware's backs to move the ball on the ground.
Jacksonville State went with Cam Creel at quarterback last week. He threw for 129 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions. He will try to continue managing the game if he starts this week. Jax State’s backfield is led by Cam Cook. Cook has 832 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. He will be the focal point of the Jax State offense instead of the quarterback.
Score Projection: Delaware 24 – Jacksonville State 27
Win Probability: Delaware 48% | Jacksonville State 52%
Delaware is favored on the road here and they may well deserve it based on how they have played so far this season. But I am going to take Jacksonville State to win this contest as a slight underdog at home. The Gamecocks have won each of their first two home games by double-digits. And while this game should be closer, Jax State will get the job done once again.
