Navy vs Notre Dame Pick & Prediction - 11/8/2025

Notre Dame will host Navy in a game with College Football Playoff implications for both sides. Notre Dame is ranked 10th in the country and in need of a win to keep its playoff hopes alive. But Navy is still in the playoff mix going into this week as well and a win would certainly move them into the top 25. Before Notre Dame does battle with the Naval Academy, you can find my Navy vs Notre Dame prediction below.
Notre Dame is expected to dominate if the point spread is to be believed. The Fighting Irish have won six games in a row after dropping their first two games to Miami and Texas A&M. All six of those wins have come by double-digits and we should see Notre Dame continue their winning ways here. The only question might be how much the Irish win this game by.
Navy does not leave much to the imagination when it comes to their game plan. The entire world knows that the Midshipmen plan on running their option offense and running the football as often as they possibly can. The question for Navy will be whether or not they can do enough to win the line of scrimmage consistently to make that plan of attack successful.
Navy comes into this game at 7-1 on the season and their only loss came on the road against a North Texas team with a prolific offense. But this is the toughest game of the season so far for the Midshipmen in terms of the pure physical talent they are facing. I twill be interesting to see how they handle this level of competition on Saturday night.
Notre Dame's quarterback is CJ Carr. He has thrown for 2,057 yards, 16 touchdowns, and four interceptions on the year. The Fighting Irish may not have to throw the ball much in this game given that their running blockers should be able to impose their will up front. But Carr should be fine if he needs to make any plays in big situations.
Blake Horvath is the quarterback for Navy. He has accounted for 1,143 passing yards and 926 rushing yards this season. He has 13 rushing touchdowns and seven passing touchdowns on the year. But he hasn't seen a defense like that of Notre Dame yet this season.
Score Projection: Notre Dame 41 – Navy 10
Win Probability: Notre Dame 90%, Navy 10%
The big problem for Navy in this game is the fact that they are at a physical disadvantage up front. In order for their offense to work, they need to be able to move the bodies on the opposing defensive line. I don't think they are going to be able to do that against Notre Dame. I'm laying the points with the Fighting Irish in this game, as Notre Dame should keep their playoff hopes alive for another week.
