The Oregon State Beavers (2–8) head to Tulsa to take on the Golden Hurricane (2–7) on Saturday afternoon. Both teams have endured difficult seasons and they will both look for their third win of the season in this contest. These two programs have found themselves battling through rough seasons. Oregon State is coming off a loss to a Sam Houston program that has been one of the worst in all of college football throughout this season. The Beavers have yet to win a game on the road this season and they will try to get their first win away from home at the expense of Tulsa.
Tulsa is 2-7 on the season so far and they haven't won a football game since the month of September. Defense has been a huge problem for the Golden Hurricane. They have given up 38 or more points in four straight games and they will try to take advantage of this opportunity to shut down an Oregon State team that has been dreadful throughout the year.
Oregon State's quarterback situation remains unsettled as Maalik Murphy and Gabarri Johnson continue to rotate. Murphy has handled most of the passing workload this season, but Johnson has repeatedly been brought on in relief.
Tulsa's passing game has been inconsistent with Baylor Hayes at quarterback. But it has shown an ability to hit explosive plays on occasion. The Golden Hurricane averages just under 22 points per game and will try to put together a strong showing against a bad Beavers defense.

Oregon State’s quarterback instability and defensive issues on the road raise concerns heading into this matchup. I certainly can't blame anyone who wants to stay away from this matchup between two struggling programs. But I think that Tulsa should be a favorite by around a field goal here and I'll take them to win at home.
