Virginia wrapped up an impressive ACC campaign with a 10-3 record, tying its single-season win mark last achieved in 1989 and arriving in the Gator Bowl with plenty of positives to look back on despite a loss to Duke in the ACC Championship Game. A victory would give the Cavaliers their first postseason bowl win since 2018 and an unprecedented 11-win season in program history.
Missouri endured an up-and-down season in the SEC, finishing 8-4 while capably navigating a tough schedule. Mizzou enters this game as a favorite, though the absence of starting quarterback Beau Pribula and several key receivers due to the transfer portal will make it harder for them to enjoy any offensive continuity. Freshman quarterback Matt Zollers is expected to start for the Tigers, placing extra responsibility on the rushing attack and the defense’s ability to control field position.
Virginia’s Chandler Morris offers experience while leading the Cavaliers’ offense. Morris has thrown for 2,802 yards with 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions on the season while contributing 245 rushing yards and five scores. He does not appear to be opting out of this game, which is good news for the Cavaliers.
Missouri’s offense has been led by Zollers in the absence of Pribula. Zollers' limited experience includes a loss to Texas A&M and a win over Mississippi State. Zollers has completed about 53% of his passes for 402 yards with four touchdowns and one interception. Given the uncertainty at the position, Missouri’s offensive plan may lean heavily on its ground game and conservative play calling to mitigate turnovers.

I think we are in for a pretty low-scoring game in the Gator Bowl, thanks in large part to the lack of quarterback certainty for the Tigers. I'll take the points with Virginia, who should be able to shut down the Tigers' offense and rebound from their loss in the ACC title game while grabbing an 11th win on the year.
