Both of these teams have struggled in recent weeks and will try to take advantage of this opportunity to get a win to get things back on track here. Both teams are coming off their bye week. That week off was much-needed for both of these teams with the way they had been playing. Jacksonville has a 4‑3 record but has dropped two straight heading into their bye, raising concerns about their consistency. Las Vegas is at 2‑5 and is in a tougher position, but the bye week gives them hope of returning healthier and sharper.
Jacksonville's offense is its main concern coming out of the bye. They scored a total of 19 points in their two straight losses to the Rams and Seahawks. Las Vegas isn't as good on defense, but that might not matter given how much the Jags struggled to move the ball before their week off.
Las Vegas' key to this game is going to be simply not beating themselves. The Raiders have struggled mightily with turning the ball over. If they can put a stop to that, they can turn things around in the near future. But keeping the ball has proven to be no easy task for Geno Smith and the Las Vegas offense.
The Jaguars are led by Trevor Lawrence. He has thrown for 1,620 yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions. He has been better about avoiding turnovers so far this season, but he needs to generate more explosive plays for the Jags to get back into the win column.
The Raiders are relying on Geno Smith at quarterback. He has 1,417 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and a troubling 10 interceptions. His decision‑making has been a clear issue this season and he will try to fix that in this contest.

The turnover problems for the Raiders are a real issue going into this game. I'll take the Jaguars to pick up the win on the road and cover the spread here, as Geno Smith should continue his habit of throwing passes to the wrong team. As long as Trevor Lawrence doesn't lay a complete egg here, the Jags should get the job done at Allegiant Stadium.
